My Christmas Vacation
Took a trip down south over the holidays. First time I’ve been out of the state in 20 years. The weather was great and everyone was very kind. And the best part: NOBODY KNEW I WAS A FELON!
We spend time in the joint. It changes us. We have baggage. We know our lives will never be the same. But the secret is, nobody else has to know this.
I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it a dozen more times. We are only judged on our day-to-day actions. If we choose to act as decent, law-abiding citizens, then people will treat us as such. I can’t count how many times I was called sir. How many times I heard please and thank you. When we are surrounded for years by people who don’t have any respect for us or themselves, it tends to rub off.
Anyway, just thought I’d tell you I had a wonderful vacation with wonderful people. So let’s enjoy what freedom has to offer and never, never go back to that horrible place again. The best of luck to all of you!
