My Story
Just wanted to share a story with you. 10 years ago, I was into drugs (crack), and though I didn’t spend several years behind bars, I could have. See, I let it take control of my life and it took being sentenced to 364 days that I had time to realize what I was doing to my loved ones. I have three children that were terribly hurt over the poor choices that I had been making. I had warrants, eight to be exact. Was facing three, fourteen-year felonies.
With the help from above I ended up with a one year misdemeanor. I was sentenced to 364 days, of that, I actually spent 72 days. I got out and received a card in the mail that said Baker College come join. I found myself at administration the following Monday. I have two degrees, one being a Corrections Certificate and the other being an Associates degree in Criminal Justice. I am now three classes away from my Bachelors degree.
With that being said, it has been a very long road but, July 6th this year will be 10 years clean. I am here for any educational support, job support, or just to have someone to talk too. Good luck on your journey to a New You!!
